Last Saturday, after their school activity, as promised, I took her to the mall and bought her a new pair of rubber shoes. My choice and her choice do not differ a lot. In fact, we have something in common when shopping. I, first take a round and see the things that would suit me, and if I see something nice that I really really like, I won’t mind going back to get it, no matter how far the distance of the shop is, I will surely take it. Deye is like that. She looks around and even drag me to a shop if she finds something cute for her.

I wonder what’s going to happen if we have this thing called Black Friday here in the Philippines. Haha!

Unfortunately, there’s no such refund so I guess I’ll just have to keep my eyes closed and not think of the fact that Deye had lost some days and opps for not going to school for so many days. In fact, I felt that she lost touch when she refused to perform last Saturday. She was okay, she knew her line and dance steps when suddenly she refused to do her part when it was their group’s turn. Oh well part of a pre-schooler’s life, tantrums and mood swings.

I could see that her relationship to other kids are also affected. Or maybe she’s adjusting again coz she hasn’t been out for quite a while. We attended her classmate’s bday party at McDonald’s this afternoon and just the same, she refused to participate in all the games. I just hope she’d cope up the soonest possible.

I have become a certified housekeeper making sure that everything is available in the house. From buying groceries up to some enamel cookware needed for the household, I look after them.When there are things to be repaired, I also make sure that things are taken care of. It isn’t easy but fulfilling when you manage your own household. It’s a different feeling. It is some kind of an achievement knowing you have something that you can call your “own” at least.

I hope someday, I’ll be a housekeeper of my own house, not an apartment but our own.

Yesterday, after office hours, I took her for her CBC and was only able to get her urine sample this morning. Thank God both the results were negative, no dengue and UTI! It’s just a common flu that she got. Now, I can blame it on the bad weather!

I’m also feeling so lucky that the Pedia we got is a very reliable one. In fact, she also gave me some prescriptions even I wasn’t there this morning. My niece was telling me that she handed her over a paper and told her that I should take those. Sweet eh?

If you remember, she was also hospitalized last month slight dehydration caused by her high fever, and she wasn’t responding to medicines and taking milk at all. I got worried of her continuous coughing that made us rush her to the emergency on Friday night. The resident Pedia advised me to get her admitted so that she’d be monitored. She also had a difficulty in breathing. Of course, anything best for my kids, I have no problem. She was admitted at around 7am the following morning.

I went home an hour later to get our stuff and fetched Ate Deye up from my parents’ house. Glad my cousin, Jan, was around our area at that time so he offered me a ride up to the hospital and even helped me get the things to the room.

I’m so thankful that she’s better now and back to her usual self, a charming and active baby. Tomorrow is her follow up check up and I hope she’d be able to get the shot that’s been already a month delayed due to her condition. So I guess this mommy still has no right to invest on buying some rustic furniture and other house decors for the coming Christmas, priorities first!

Both have been sick since the last 2 days and that doesn’t sound good. Both my girls are nursing a fever at 39, and it shoots up during wee hours, plus a bad cough that deprives them from sleeping.

I went to take them to their Pedia yesterday, and was advised to buy a nebulizer to help them feel better especially bunso. They were also prescribed some antibiotics that costs P1,365 a bottle plus some other cough medicines to soothe them. Good thing I always have stocks of fever medicines and patches. I also have this gel type hot/cold compress, but sad to say neither one of them likes it.

I just hope both get well very soon. I can’t help but to think of them while I am at work, even though I know they are in good hands. *sigh*

Soon she will be seen around the house crawling and walking, therefore, a certain rule has made up for the house, no fragile displays within her reach, a big no to expensive purchase of furniture and appliances like modern dining tables, not even a glass top for our existing dining table. Toys should be kept in place and not messed up on the floors. Hard but rules should be followed for safety purposes. I’m so glad that Ate Deye is not like one typical kid who does not keep her toys after using them.

My husband and I agreed that we’ll just combine the celebration to save up a little. But if I have the money, I would definitely purchase a hand painted plate that could be used as a guestbook. It’ll be a pink party with pink and white balloons all over the place. I still got plenty of time but am already looking for some unique party favors that my 2 girls would remember forever haha!

If I buy, I just hope it’ll reach here in one piece and still in good condition.
