I was getting worried of Deye’s on and off fever, that’s why I’ve requested for a CBC and urinalysis from her Pedia. Yesterday, after office hours, I took her for her CBC and was only able to get her urine sample this morning. Thank God both the results were negative, no dengue and UTI! It’s just a common flu that she got. Now, I can blame it on the bad weather!

I’m also feeling so lucky that the Pedia we got is a very reliable one. In fact, she also gave me some prescriptions even I wasn’t there this morning. My niece was telling me that she handed her over a paper and told her that I should take those. Sweet eh?

The day I took bunso to her Pedia for a check-up was the same day she got admitted in the hospital. At half past 10pm, she was again nursing 39., since it was already time for her medicine, I thought I’d give her milk first. She finished her milk and after a couple of minutes, gave her medicine. As I was about to go to our dining area to keep the medicine in the fridge, I heard her threw up. I panicked. Picked her up from the bed and called my mom and told her to come to our house. Few minutes later, mom and dad were home. Dad stayed in the house with Ate Deye while me and my mom took bunso to the hospital.

Been (house)helpless for almost a week now.  Sacked her!  Abuso!  Three weeks ago, she went missing for 3 days, she says she had a family problem but she really wanted to come back. Since I really needed someone to be with my kids and keep up with the household chores, I accepted her without any questions asked.

Three weeks later, she was asking for a salary advance when she already took some for this month. I told her I’m sorry but this time I cannot give you anything. My expenses are overhead and need to seriously look into my budget. That was Saturday and next day was her off. At 5pm, she was already getting ready to leave and I clearly told her to be home by 6am on Monday coz we have this out of town trip at work. At half past 7am that Monday, there was still no sign from her. Few minutes later, she sent me a message saying “Ate, di na po ako pwedeng mag-stay dyan kasi napapabayaan ko mga anak ko, balik na lang po ako dyan mamaya para kausapin kayo”. I got so pissed off. I called her back and told her I don’t wanna see her face again.

Last Thursday, high school friends and I gathered in May’s house for her despedida cum get together. It was a nice feeling reunited with them once again even for just a short time. We had a sumptuous dinner, and usual everything was prepared by our dear friend May (in blue). She never failed to fill up our stomach with her specialties. We’d surely miss her and her specialties. I am actually missing it already haha!
