Kitchen Carts
If only our rented apartment is big enough to keep kitchen carts, I would have bought at least two. For one, it’s mobile. Each time I want to rearrange a part of the kitchen, it can be done with no hassles.
Or otherwise I can convert it to a toy and shoe cabinet. At the moment, the toy boxes that both my girls are having are not enough to store their mostly played toys. It has been accumulating and I’m sure there would be more the moment my husband comes a week from now.
Hmmmm, that’s gives me a bright idea of getting one, for now and get rid of our shoe racks that look like stands at the shopping mall. I’m sure there’s a smaller one of this that can be put right in the corner of our apartment.
Halloween Costumes
I am a hands on mom when it comes to my girls’ personal stuff. Even the things that we bring during travels, may it be short or long trips, I prepare them myself. I don’t give it on nanny’s hands. That is including the junk foods that they can eat and the costumes that they wear on parties like Halloween. But of course, I always ask my eldest, since she can already decide what she really wants for her costume. This time she wanted to be something else, and not the typical scary look. So when I saw this Minnie Mouse dress, I just knew she would love it and I was right.

On choosing Halloween Costumes for your kids
This year is the 3rd year that my eldest is participating in their School’s Halloween Special.
In year 2009, she was a Pink Fairy. The dress itself was actually inspired by Tinkerbell’s and I gave it a little twist by changing the strap into a feather material. I bought an extra feather materials to accessorize her white ballerina shoes so that she’d have a matching dress and wings. The wings were ready made, it came with a magic wand and head pieces. I had her hair tied up, clipped my wedding hair extension and tiara on it. Then I bought stickers for her face and arms for only Php5 each set. Click on the image for larger view.
I really made an effort in producing this costume. It’s worth it! She bagged the Best in Costume that year. I also didn’t have a hard time making her wear it, it was her choice, that’s why. Read the rest of this entry »
Asthma attacks again
For almost 4 months, Ishi, my bunso, had been in her best healthy condition. She may had fever in the past months but mainly due to the change of weather and teething. Until recently after we traveled to Polomolok, she got sick again. It first started with a high fever while we were still in Polomolok just before the wedding. Good thing, it has been my habit to bring along my kids’ medicines whenever we travel. In fact, I had also told their nanny to keep the nebulizer in the hand carry bag.
Fortunately, there was no asthma attack until we got back to Olongapo. 3 days after we reached home, cold, fever and bad cough started to bother her. I have already anticipated such scenario and when I’ve seen that she was having a hard time breathing, I nebulized her even without her Pedia’s instruction.
I am glad she’s a little better now.
