At 4, I could already see that Deye will be one typical shopper. Last Saturday, after their school activity, as promised, I took her to the mall and bought her a new pair of rubber shoes. My choice and her choice do not differ a lot. In fact, we have something in common when shopping. I, first take a round and see the things that would suit me, and if I see something nice that I really really like, I won’t mind going back to get it, no matter how far the distance of the shop is, I will surely take it. Deye is like that. She looks around and even drag me to a shop if she finds something cute for her.
I wonder what’s going to happen if we have this thing called Black Friday here in the Philippines. Haha!

I’ve recently noticed Deye’s misbehaving attitude and it really bothers me, especially during the time when bunso was in the hospital. This evening, right after bunso went to sleep, I took advantage of Deye’s good mood. I talked to her like a grown up.
Me: Ate, may problema ka ba? Does something bother you?
Deye: Opo. Kasi I want Dada here na.
Me: Why? Mama is here naman, you can talk to me. But you know what I noticed when Mama asks and tells you something, you don’t listen to me. Bakit po?
Deye: Eh because… because… akala ko di mo ako love (I thought you don’t love me).

I must admit, I’m getting old yet responsible and selfless. I’m not the old Mitch who prefer to shop and think of myself exclusively. Yet, still hoping that I won’t spend most of my time sitting on a rocking chair, cross stitching and crocheting. Hmmm, maybe reading diet pill reviews would do instead LOL!
Kidding aside, I don’t see myself doing these kind of past time when I get old. I might sit on a rocking chair but maybe with the laptop on me still browsing and facebooking haha! Possible eh? Why not?!

A jejemonic conversation with Deye
2 Comments Published April 25th, 2010 in Mommy Moments, SAHM Thoughts.
I was going through Deye’s scribble notebook this morning and I saw this one. I smiled but wondered why in blue? I, then, asked her and as usual this little girl never runs out of an answer “Kunyari Mama you went to the parlor”. And why Mama’s pants got different colors? Again, she immediately came up to a very defensive answer “Style yan”. I told her “Jologs mo naman!” This time she asked me “What is jologs?” I answered laughing “Kapatid yun ng jejemons” Hahaha!
She stared at me as if she wanted to ask another question but before she did “I told her “Enough of questions, you will know soon. That’s why you should eat more para you will grow fast, then you’d know what these things are”.
Glad she stopped and said “O sige I will eat gulay”
