Getting to know each other

I was worried that it might take ages before bunso could finally get comfortable with her Dada, whom she only sees once in a year. The moment she saw him at the airport, I had to show my husband’s photo on iPad and explained her that it’s the same person whom she was seeing then in the computer. She looked at him, not moving, then looked at me and said “Mama, takut ti Ishi eh”.

Since this little girl is so fond of my iPad, I told my husband to give it to her and ask her to play with him. She gladly came to him and that was about it. Today, she’s more closer to her Dada than of her Ate Deye. In fact, when I came out of the bedroom this morning, I saw my bunso, seated on her small chair right in front of her Dada and said Mama “e-assage e-Ishi e-Dada”. Right, she’s fond of adding “e” in every word that she says.

I’m glad it didn’t take her a while to know her Dada, and get closer to him.

Ishi’s 2nd Birthday at Texas Joe’s

This year, we have decided not to have a big party for the girls instead a private dinner and outing this coming weekend just with the family except for Deye’s request to have a small party in school next week.

Yesterday, my bunso, Ishi celebrated her 2nd birthday. It was another memorable celebration for our family. We are complete, a family of four. My husband sees to it that he’s here on both the girls’ birthday, since their birthdays are just 5 days away from each other. There were just 7 of us, Derrick and I, the girls, my parents and Ate Rose.

It was a simple celebration yet memorable one. The girls truly enjoyed writing on the sheet of paper that served as the table cover at Texas Joe’s. That’s actually one of the reasons why Deye would always pick Texas Joe’s.

Ishi talks more at almost 2

Deye, my eldest talked straight at 2. But Ishi talks more at almost 2. You would hear a lot of new words coming from her mouth day by day. In fact, she could even construct a few sentence already like:

Hawa! Gayit ti Mama! (Hala! Galit si Mama!) and she would run to Lolo or Mita and asked for help! Or even to her Ate whom she usually fights with.

A while ago, I asked her “Where is Yosh (she calls her nanny Rose “Yosh”)?” and she answered quickly “Nana, aba dwess Ishi baba!” Go figure! Hahaha!

Most of her words are not complete yet but I am certain she’d be good better in conversations than her big sister, Deye. Read the rest of this entry »
