I’ve recently noticed Deye’s misbehaving attitude and it really bothers me, especially during the time when bunso was in the hospital. This evening, right after bunso went to sleep, I took advantage of Deye’s good mood. I talked to her like a grown up.

Me: Ate, may problema ka ba? Does something bother you?

Deye: Opo. Kasi I want Dada here na.

Me: Why? Mama is here naman, you can talk to me. But you know what I noticed when Mama asks and tells you something, you don’t listen to me. Bakit po?

The day I took bunso to her Pedia for a check-up was the same day she got admitted in the hospital. At half past 10pm, she was again nursing 39., since it was already time for her medicine, I thought I’d give her milk first. She finished her milk and after a couple of minutes, gave her medicine. As I was about to go to our dining area to keep the medicine in the fridge, I heard her threw up. I panicked. Picked her up from the bed and called my mom and told her to come to our house. I so love the fact that my daughter offers help whenever she sees me loaded with household chores. This scenario usually happens on Sundays when my househelp is off. But today, it’s not just her day off, I gave up on her.

Anyway, today, I asked Ate Deye to get me 4 packs of Magic Sarap from the store down our house. My dad dropped her till she got down off the stairs. From the terrace, I watched her carefully and I could see the excitement that she had when I told her to buy them.When she came back, she handed me over the change and counted right in front of me the things I asked her to buy. She goes like “1, 2, 3, 4!” Correct Mama?” Hahaha!
