(House)Helpless

Been (house)helpless for almost a week now.  Sacked her!  Abuso!  Three weeks ago, she went missing for 3 days, she says she had a family problem but she really wanted to come back. Since I really needed someone to be with my kids and keep up with the household chores, I accepted her without any questions asked.

Three weeks later, she was asking for a salary advance when she already took some for this month. I told her I’m sorry but this time I cannot give you anything. My expenses are overhead and need to seriously look into my budget. That was Saturday and next day was her off. At 5pm, she was already getting ready to leave and I clearly told her to be home by 6am on Monday coz we have this out of town trip at work. At half past 7am that Monday, there was still no sign from her. Few minutes later, she sent me a message saying “Ate, di na po ako pwedeng mag-stay dyan kasi napapabayaan ko mga anak ko, balik na lang po ako dyan mamaya para kausapin kayo”. I got so pissed off. I called her back and told her I don’t wanna see her face again. I told her to come right there and then and give me my money back and the cellphone that she’s not supposed to be carrying around with her. I bought a new cellphone so that I’d be able to get hold of her whenever I’m away (and for that also, I always find the phone switched off these past days and she claims that the battery goes lowbatt). Take note she took the cellphone with her without telling me and came to know also that when I’m not there, she uses my Havs pairs of slippers when asked to go to market errands. Sosyal di ba pinapamalengke ang Havs ko amf!

Anyway, to cut the story short I got fed up of her! Glad my parents are around to help me out while I am at work, otherwise I would be searching for the best adult acne treatment now due to lack of sleep. Well, yeah I am still very much sleep deprived but the thought that your kids are in safe hands during your absence makes everything a lot easier for me.

  • [...] I so love the fact that my daughter offers help whenever she sees me loaded with household chores. This scenario usually happens on Sundays when my househelp is off. But today, it’s not just her day off, I gave up on her. [...]
