Derelle ranks at 4

Attended the Parent-Teacher (one on one) Conference last Thursday and I was so happy with the result of Derelle’s class standing this quarter. From 5th place, she now ranks at 4.

Baby Crib

After checking the baby cribs around our area, I finally got one but from MOA! I grabbed the chance when we went to Manila to drop my brother at the airport. Since we are paying for 12hrs van rental, better to consume the remaining hours.

I bought the laminated wood type of material that you see in the market but a little bigger than the normal size of a crib. Simple but elegant. I still have to assemble it though , maybe next month when I’m done nesting. I also checked on mattresses but decided to just get it back home. I already have a set of princess beddings ready, I got it from Dakki. I hope to get a Hello Kitty design before the year ends.

Mommy Moments : Chore Time

First time we tried making this. I don’t even know what it’s called haha! Since it’s not complicated to make, I allowed her to do it…

I couldn’t believe teachers give homeworks to pre-schoolers the things they still couldn’t do just by themselves. Most of the time it’s really overwhelming my daughter, and would often say “I’m tired na, Mama!” Then she’d give me a frowning face and no matter how hard I convince her to finish her homework, she just wouldn’t.

Since then, I don’t force her at all. I let her do the things she’s only able to do and tell her teacher she still hasn’t finished it. At times I’d find notes on her books “No homework”. Frankly, at first thinking her grades/ranking would be affected. But come to think of it, she’s only three and supposed to be enjoying her dolls and toys at home.

When I told my husband about it, my husband said the same thing “not to force her, let her do what she only can”. But if she really has to finish them, I just make a deal with her

Christmas Gifts for Boys

Christmas is nearing. That also means I have to get ready giving gifts to my Godchildren. I never had problem choosing for girls but for boys? Aaaargh! It’s always been a problem for me. I asked one of my kumares to give me an idea on what a boy would like to have. Um, probably toy cars or shirts. Hmmmmm, kinda hard coz I don’t even know what toy cars are in demand these days.

While I was in the school bus with my daughter yesterday, I overheard these two boys conversing about their Christmas wishlist, and one mentioned about getting truck accessories. Alright then! I’m keeping that in mind hahaha! But wait what if he doesn’t have a toy truck as yet? LOL! So that means I should give a full set huh?
