I’m not from a well-off family, but was surrounded by cousins who are much older than me, helping my mom do the household chores. Because of that, I felt that I don’t need to do anything but rely on them. During that time, yes I could say I can’t survive without them. But I was able to adjust when it was time for me to be on my own – college days. I studied in Manila, stayed in a boarding house where no one else was there to help me but myself. Then, I had to leave home and worked abroad. Again, I had to do everything on my own. I got married, of course I had no choice but to fulfill my tasks but still there were things that I needed to learn and love, doing the laundry and cooking! I just hate them. I don’t mind cleaning the whole house and rearranging furnitures, but these two? Pleaseeeeeeeee….
