The moment we reached home from Manila yesterday, I went straight to the bedroom. Deye followed me as usual. We both laid down. I then asked her to hug me and she asked me back with her never ending “why?”

“Because Mama is sad”

She then hugged me without questions…. Until we both fell asleep…

As she woke up, I was staring at her, then I told her to hug me again.

This time she asked me:

“Are you sad?”

Awwww!

Deye : Mama, why are you kya-ying?

Me : I am sad because Dada is going again. I replied…

Deye : You are sad, why naman?, she added…

Me : Because we won’t see Dada for so many days… Then she innocently said…

Deye : I not sad, Mama because…. because… Dada is out-chide.

It was her first time to meet our relatives from my mother’s side. When she saw my aunt inside the coffin, she uttered:

Mama, lola sleeping inside the basket. Wawa siya…

I told her that lola needs to take rest because she’s so tired already. When the moment for us to finally bid goodbye to my aunt, she asked my mom that she wanted to touch her when the coffin was opened for the last time. My mom let her and Deye said “veyi hard naman!” Then she was telling me on the way to the cemetery that she gave flower to lola and cologne heehee! Because the holy water was kept inside a bottle similar to a cologne bottle heehee!
